Privacy Policy
Effective August 5, 2026
Scope
This policy covers the Focus Roulette website, browser extensions, and account synchronization service.
Data we process
- Account email, password hash, session tokens, and account status.
- Configured blocked domain names, schedule, timezone, snooze state, plan, and active focus outcome.
- Per-domain totals for top-level visits to domains you configure. The extension batches these counts before sending them.
- Focus decision audit records containing the configured domain, safe or blocked result, configured odds, decision time, and expiry time.
- Payment provider identifiers, checkout status, and entitlement state. Card and bank details are processed by our payment provider and are not stored by Focus Roulette.
- First-party product events such as landing-page view, store click, account creation, trial start, first configuration, first focus gate, checkout start, and payment activation.
- First-touch campaign fields (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign,utm_content, andutm_term), a random browser identifier, coarse browser/device category, and referrer category. - Minimal server logs required for security and reliability.
Data we do not request
The extension does not upload your general browsing history, page content, page titles, search queries, URL paths, or full URLs. Site activity is limited to domains you add to Focus Roulette, and individual visit timestamps are not stored. Browser permissions are used to recognize and interrupt those configured domains.
Purpose and sharing
We process data to authenticate accounts, synchronize configuration and timers, provide billing, prevent abuse, support users, and operate the service. Transaction information is passed to our payment provider only as required to complete and support purchases. We do not sell personal data.
Product measurement
Product measurement is stored in the Focus Roulette service rather than sent to a third-party analytics provider. Event names and campaign fields are fixed and cannot contain arbitrary page data. We do not store IP addresses in analytics, fingerprint browsers, or collect configured or visited domains as metric properties. Raw metric events are retained for up to 30 days. Account-linked first-touch campaign attribution is retained for up to 90 days.
Site activity
Site activity is an account feature shown in extension settings, not a product analytics property. Aggregate domain totals and decision audit records are retained until the associated account is deleted. Logging out removes the pending local activity queue from that browser.
Storage and security
Extension tokens are stored in extension-owned browser storage. Server account and state data is stored in SQLite on the application host with encrypted off-host backups planned for production. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can log out to remove synchronized account state from that browser. To request account access, correction, or deletion, contact hello@focusroulette.app. Some transaction records may be retained where required for tax, fraud, dispute, or legal obligations.
